The story is all over the mainstream media. Dr George Tiller, who ran Women's Health Care Services, a clinic that performed late-term abortions, was murdered today while serving as an usher at Reformation Lutheran Church in Wichita, Kansas. Tiller, who was 67 , was one of the few doctors in the United States who still performed late-term abortions.

Sky News reports that the FBI and state police were called in to help search for the assassin, whose licence plate was registered to a home in a suburb of Kansas City, some 200 miles away on the border with Missouri. Tiller was no stranger to abortion violence. In 1986, a bomb was placed on the roof of his clinic. In 1993, he was shot in both arms outside his clinic, but he returned to work after recovering from his injuries.
