Did a San Francisco Dildo Maker Screw its Employees?

Vixen LogoSorry for the headline, we just couldn't resist (neither could SFWeekly.)  Five former employees of San Francisco based Vixen Creations, filed a class action suit Monday alleging that the company didn't pay overtime when they worked more than 8 hours in a day as required by California law.

According to court documents Vixen (all links NSFW), makers of fine silicon dildos, paid the workers between $10 and $13 an hour (plus presumably all the dildos you can handle) to pour silicon into moulds. However it's alleged that the company only paid overtime if the total weekly hours exceeded 40 instead of paying up for any day where employees worked more than 8 hours.

Vixen's products have long been popular and include a wide range of realistic and stylized dildos as well as attachments for the Hitachi Magic Wand.

We like Vixen's products and, attention grabbing headlines aside, hope the company and its employees can resolve their differences amicably because when the courts get involved it's only the lawyers who get to play top.

It's about time!

I worked for them years ago. It's about time someone took the owner Marilyn and her two stooges Gina and Laurel on.

They have been guilty of making the work place a cesspool of vulgar jokes, sexist comments, racial slurs , age discrimination and nepotism...mostly hiring their loser friends.

Sounds to me like this was the straw that broke the camels back!

Any other former employees out there with comments? Speak now of forever hold your peace.
